NOTE: I pre-wrote this post before any of the Albertsons Florida is or is not becoming Safeway thing came to light. Pending further information and/or investigation, the original text of this post will remain, and there is no mention of any change into Safeway beyond this note in this post. Now that I have addressed that issue, on with today's regularly scheduled post:
One thing was for sure this past year, it brought about quite a few changes to Albertsons Florida. Unfortunately in 2015, we had to say goodbye to one of our final four Albertsons stores back in May when the Clearwater Albertsons closed for good after 40 1/2 years in business. However, after the news of that was released, Albertsons came out with the shocking news that the remaining three Albertsons stores in Florida would all be receiving a remodel.
As for the blog itself, I'd like to thank everyone for stopping by the blog and taking the time to read the posts or peruse the store list. AFB has grown this year to over 47,000 hits, and in the last year viewership on the blog has doubled compared to last year. Thanks to all the long time readers and supporters of the blog, the contributors, and to anyone who may be new to the blog or reading it for the first time. Next year is going to be a big year for the blog, and I have lots of great stuff to share with you. Let's make 2016 a great year!
Also, have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year everyone! AFB to return next year on January 3rd with more Albertsons and lots of great bonus stores! You never know what you'll find in Florida.
